Topic: The important health issues that our Hmong American communities face, including but not limited to alcohol consumption and other health risk behaviors, the side effect of these behaviors on a person’s or family’s long-term physical and social wellbeing, and the actions that people could take in order to reduce or prevent these health problems in the future.

Since 7/2001 (over 15 years of experiences), Dr. Yang has been an attending physician at Marshfield Clinic, Wausau Center.
Dr. Yang’s focus in his daily practice includes but not exclusively to
Preventative care (how to stay healthy).
Chronic disease management (treating the most common diseases such diabetes, hypertension, high cholesterol, depression, etc).
Treating patients of all ages ranging from newborn to the elderlies
Being a patient advocate in navigating through the complex maze of the health care system in guiding them to the subspecialist they may need, giving opinion whether certain procedures are necessary or not and being available for questions and support when patients are going through their illness and/or treatment.
Was a Section Chair for the Department of Family Medicine at Wausau Center.
Has been on multiple medical boards which involve minority population in the Marshfield Clinic System

Motivation speaker to Hmong Youth groups in obtaining higher education and choosing health-related careers.
