Position Title: Coordinator, Leadership Team
Organization/Division: Resource Development
Reports To: Executive Vice President of Resource development

Purpose of position: Support the Executive Vice President of Resource Development and senior leadership helping to drive growth in United Way through research, data management and maximization, and donor and volunteer stewardship. As a member of the Resource Development Department, support fundraising and organizational activities to achieve campaign goals, advancing our community’s Agenda for Change.
Key Responsibility Area: Leadership Team and Volunteer Stewardship 40%
- Serve as critical member of leadership staff team in support of all aspects of revenue generation programs, donors and volunteers.
- Provide support for Cabinet Leadership, Campaign Cabinet and United Way of Dane County (UWDC) Foundation committee meetings, trainings, communications and recognition events.
- Conduct research on current and prospective donors, update and maintain donor records to support Executive Vice President of Resource Development.
- Working with Development Operations analyze donor data and based upon results, recommend action plans to leadership to develop donor cultivation and stewardship strategies.
- Coordinate development of and adherence to protocols for donor and prospect data collection and database entry and management.
Key Responsibility Area: United Way Foundation 30%
- Work with Senior Director of Endowment and Planned Giving in responding to Foundation donor and volunteer needs, including producing donor reports, communications and other.
- Coordinate production and compilation of all materials related to Foundation Board meetings (invitations, handouts, minutes, etc.)
- Manage Board meeting logistics including room set-up, refreshments, nametags, table tents, minute-taking, etc.
- Manage Foundation data, documents and archives.
Key Responsibility Area: Department Support and Data Entry 30%
- Administrative support for Executive Vice President and Senior Directors.
- Prepare for Resource Development and Marketing (RDM) Lead Staff meetings and projects and RDM Department meetings and activities.
- Serve as Resource Development liaison for UWDC Board materials and meeting expectations from Executive office in Board meeting preparation and support.
- Work with other staff and Limited Term Employees to support data entry and management.
- Cross-train with administrative team in the department in order to provide back-up support as needed for campaign activities, material production and other departmental duties.
- Serve as Traffic Manager with Marketing staff in creation of Foundation related materials.
- Develop proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite software and Andar software.
- Serve as back-up support for the United Way Receptionist.
Key Responsibility Area: Organization
- Represent United Way in a professional manner to the community and to key volunteers.
- Educate United Way staff about leadership giving.
- Be an integral part of the Resource Development & Marketing Department team.
- Participate in organizational activities.
- Other duties as assigned.
Job Relationship:
External: Volunteers, Volunteer Committees, Donors, Businesses
Internal:Volunteer committees, Marketing, Information Services, Finance and Administration, and Community Impact departments.
Job Specifications:
Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred
Experience: 2-3 years in non-profit development role, research or analysis position and/or administrative profession.
Knowledge: Data, project, meeting, and volunteer management, word-processing, spreadsheets, strong oral and written communication. Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Office computer systems and ability to learn client data management platforms.
Skills: Strong ability to research, plan and organize with attention to detail and ability to understand and utilize available technologies. Ability to work with large and diverse groups. Must be team-focused, have solid project management skills, be able to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to details and meeting deadlines.. Ability to work independently at least 50% of the time.
