SoSiab Care, Inc. is owned and operated by Shoua and Songlue Vue. They established the agency in 2003 in response to the growing need for family-focused Home Health in the Hmong Community. Their goal is to have an agency which takes cultural diversity into consideration.

SoSiab Care, Inc. operated as a Home Health Agency, (HHA) from 2003 to December 2010 when it became certified as a Personal Care Agency, (PCA), by the state of Wisconsin.

Services

Our PCWs are allowed to work for clients only after they:

a) Go through the hiring process b) Pass background check c) Are screened for TB and other communicable diseases d) Receive orientation and training e) Demonstrate skills in the specific services they will perform for the clients.

Our Personal Care workers are trained to provide the following personal care services:

• Assistance with bathing
• Assistance with getting in and out of bed
• Teeth, mouth, denture and hair care
• Assistance with mobility and ambulation including use of walker, cane or crutches
• Changing client’s bed and laundering bed linens and client’s personal clothing
• Skin care excluding wound care
• Care of eyeglasses and hearing aid
• Assistance with dressing and undressing
• Toileting, including use and care of bedpan, urinal, commode or toilet
• Light cleaning in essential areas of the home used during personal care service activities
• Meal preparation, food purchasing and meal serving
• Simple transfers including bed to chair or wheelchair and reverse
• Accompanying client to obtain medical diagnosis and treatment

SoSiab Care, Inc. is equipped to provide Medical Interpreters for agency clients who speak:

• Hmong, Laotian, Vietnamese, Khmer, Nepali, Kreyol, Spanish, and French
