The mission of the Hmong American Student Association is to:
1. Promote higher education;
2. Serve as a bridge between students, community leaders, and scholars with the Hmong community and the broader American community;
3. Address the concerns and needs of students and the Hmong community such as Hmong Human Rights, Students’ Rights and Civil Rights;
4. Provide leadership opportunities for aspiring students;
5. Serve as a resource for students;
6. Serve as a channel to develop, display, and recognize the talents and creativity of the students.

Membership Requirements (for example GPA requirements, membership fees)
Members must be enrolled at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Membership shall be open to any individual irrespective of his or her race, color, creed other than commitment to the beliefs of the organization, religion, national origin, disability, ancestry, age, sexual orientation, pregnancy, marital status or parental status, or, unless exempt under Title IX, sex.
